Another great reason to get married in Laguna Beach – morning surf sessions! Patty invited me to photograph the early morning bridal party surf session on Thalia street. The waves were small but the coffee was flowing along with lots of anticipation for a fantastic wedding day . . .

Meanwhile the guys took a limo to the The Shave in Beverly Hills; a great idea for guys on the wedding day. Photographed by my 2nd shooter Gavin Holt . . .

These next few photos will give you a great taste for the work of Annie Kim at La Tulipe Floral Designs in Laguna Niguel.

I also looove this shoot! The colors are beautiful, great job!!

Tiffany and Peter had their first date at the Irvine Spectrum! That is a perfect place to take pictures ANYTIME of day, and is a very short drive to Laguna Beach for MORE awesome pictures. This first image was shot with the 10.5mm fisheye using fill flash (sweeeet!) . . .

Mid-day at Irvine Spectrum you can find great shady spots like this one . . .

OK! It’s time for a dress change and off to Laguna Beach! What a perfect day!

Dont’ mess around with the 10.5mm! . . .

One of my favorite fun shots of the day . . .

Destination Wedding Photographer

Any wedding photographer has to love photographing weddings outside the normal travel radius – It presents challenge, experience and fun all rolled up into a job. I have photographed many weddings in Mexico over the past years, but this was my first experience in beautiful Mazatlan. Once again I was fortunate enough to have Jost as 2nd photographer. We arrived on Thursday night and this 1st picture is one the views from the Pueblo Bonito where we stayed. . .

Araceli and Hector met in Chicago and now live in Indianapolis. . . . Can you believe they had over 100 guests at their Mazatlan wedding? Hector waiting in the hotel room . . .

Dramatic bride shot using window light . . .

Catholic ceremony at St. Judas Tadeo directly in Mazatlan . . .

A couple shots for the wedding photojournalism fans . . .

Why would someone have a destination wedding? These next few pictures should answer that question . . .
