Crissy and Brian met at University California Irvine a few years ago (where we did their perfect engagement pictures), and so it was perfect for them to get married right down the street at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel and Spa. This is on of my favorite Orange County hotels for a few reasons – they have two ceremony locations (both of them with blowing up with flowers ALL year), there is an ocean view from many of the rooms and from the Seaview Terrace ceremony site, and they have awesome coordinators. It is a great place to work as a photographer, and an EASY place to have a ceremony and reception.

The Darlington House in La Jolla, San Diego, CA is a historical home that doubles as a great wedding venue. Rooms are available upstairs for the girls and for the guys to get ready in. Multiple courtyards are available for cocktail hour, ceremony, reception and LOTS of photo opportunities. As well, about 1/2 mile to the beach adds another set of photo opportunities that are fantastic. I took this portrait of Michael in the upstairs room right after he got ready . . .

The grand staircase directly inside the front entryway is a fantastic drop for many pictures throughout the day. This photo was taken as the Adrienne is coming down for the ceremony . . . what a beautiful house!!

Ceremony . . . you can barely see all of the guests sitting in the shade of the main courtyard . . . . mmm nice . . .

Some details from the day. The venue provided drinks that were one of the wedding day colors! Pretty great idea. The only other time I have seen this is at the Coto de Caza Country Club in south Orange County . . .

I have photographed a few weddings at Strawberry Farms Golf Club in Irvine, CA. What a unique place in the heart of Orange County – starting with the HUGE red barn that you can have your wedding reception in!

WooooHooooo! Welcome to the Dominican Republic! The Dom Rep is a on a beautiful island in the Caribbean that is shared with Haiti, AND it happens to be a GREAT place for a wedding. That is if you like white sand beaches, palm trees shooting out of the sand, blue-green water, stuff like that (that makes it a great place for Hoffmann wedding photography at least, sign me up). Sidney and Ashley are from Virginia and chose the location of Dominican Republic also for a very practical reason – most of Sidney’s relatives are from Haiti! The resort they chose is the Punta Cana Resort – which includes a c ouple golf courses, the Tortuga Bay Resort and the Punta Cana Hotel. The completed bride . . .
